a717c8a0c1 docs(tools): the material norm is written for the shaders of the branch it lives on, with ambient occlusion, parallax mapping and the lighting fixes, and names master as the one that still lights the old way 2026-10-14 22:11:34 +02:00

e27e9a3639 docs(tools): a dark metal is reported as one the shaders light as a painted surface, with the choice of a brighter diffuse for a real metal or B = 0 for paint, a metal reflects at least at half strength whatever its normal map alpha, and the source textures are TGA from which BC7 replaces the DDS 2026-10-14 22:11:15 +02:00

47716b50ff docs(tools): the material norm names the shaders it is written for, fix/cab-lighting from 2ecf589d with the sun highlight weighted by its cosine, headlights with their own highlight and param_glossiness as a Phong exponent, and how master differs; the validator reads both versions from the shader sources, its options, output levels and requirements are documented with the order in which to fix a vehicle 2026-10-14 22:11:15 +02:00

0436ea2f2b feat(tools): a material norm for the current shaders and a validator that checks .mat files and their textures against it, reading what each shader does with specgloss, glossiness, specular and reflection from the shader sources, so dielectrics with sun highlights far above the 0.06 of a real F0, mirror-like glossiness, half-metal or speckled metalness, metals with a dark albedo or no reflections, headlight-boosting param_specular, noisy maps, unknown shaders and missing textures are reported per material 2026-10-14 22:11:15 +02:00

b02fe0ac2b feat(editor): Signals mode of the Tracks window (H): semaphores, block, warning, shunting, stop, substitute signals and repeaters placed by the track from the templates of the scenery, described by //$e signal: (kind, mount, lamps, lean, the event the train reads them by) which tools/editor/signal_headers.py writes into them; a click by a track puts the signal on that side 2.25 m from the axis at the rail heads, facing the trains which have it on their right, a drag along turns it to the trains going the way of the drag; its (p1)_sem_info goes to event1 or event2 of the path, warning signals and repeaters, which the train doesn't read, get none; a head leaning away from the track swapped for its counterpart; the plate named like the signal; signals dragged along the track with their event, removed with it, renamed in the node properties with it, each a single step of the undo history; Polish translation 2026-10-08 03:12:16 +02:00
