The progress of these is shown at step 3, the loading buttons of step 2 greyed meanwhile. The terrain lesson of the tutorial tells of step 3 so

fix(editor): a track bent by its second control vector is drawn bent: the straightening of a straight with control vectors (world/Track.cpp) checked the first vector twice, so with it left along the straight the second one, dragged with the gizmo, changed the data but not the track drawn; now a straight only where both vectors lie along it or aren't given. A track bent by hand into an S between two points dragged is labelled with its length (L 77 m), not with a radius of many kilometres read off it; the "K: split here" by the cursor isn't shown while a point is dragged; Ctrl+Z takes away the warning by the cursor of what it took back (the paths that left the kept design). The tutorial clips of editing recorded again: selecting and fixing without the gizmo (a joint dragged, the warning read, Ctrl+Z), and the new one of editing with the gizmo (Q, a control vector dragged bending the track, W, E)

feat(editor): with the gizmo hidden a track is changed by its ends only: its control vectors are neither drawn nor caught until Q, W, E or the buttons above the view bring the gizmo out, so a track selected won't bend by chance; the hints say what dragging an end does (a joint: the neighbours follow, a free end: a new track out of it, with Ctrl it moves). The tutorial has a lesson of its own for editing with the gizmo, after the one of selecting and fixing, which no longer speaks of it: the arrows, the rings, the handles, the control vectors, a point clicked, Ctrl and Esc, ticked off when the gizmo is out and a track bent or moved with it; thirteen lessons. Also puts back in place two lines of the band of the curvature which dd64b821 committed out of their place (the arc declared inside the loop, so that commit didn't compile)

fix(editor): a curve laid from a free end on a curve, or to one, goes on from its curvature: traced (Tab) from the end of the diverging track of a switch it begins right at P4 at the radius of the switch, not on a straight nor with a transition from a curvature of 0. The design of the line takes the curve of the adjoining track at each end (start_curved/end_curved with the radius, the side and the cant, kept with it in the scenery): the curve of the first vertex turning its way, or of the last one, begins right at the end, its transition going from that curvature and cant to those of its first arc, as between the arcs of a compound curve, none where it goes on at its radius; the radius of its arcs is the one which begins it there, solved for the tangent, the curves next to it making room on the straight. A curve traced next to such an end is fitted by its transitions alone, with none between the curves where the points keep to that as well, or laid from a straight there where it doesn't go on from it or that keeps to the points much closer: eased out of the curve of a plain track by the transition of the norms, the line beginning at its end, or right from P4, as a switch goes on with a straight. A bend of straights turning the way of the curve gets its curve going on from it with the transitions and the cant of the norms; the other way, or a straight, as before: eased out of the curve of a plain track, the jump of the curvature kept at a switch, as at its start, and not warned of. The cant of the adjoining track goes on into the curve with no ramp at that end; the norms ask for the transition between the curves only where the curvature differs by more than 5 % or the cant by 5 mm. The readout by the cursor, the status after laying and the plan tell the curve going on from the track, the plan with a box to go on or not. Dragged back to P4 from a point the curve goes on from its radius too. Selftests laywalk, laybends, curvejoint, endcurves; unit tests of a curve going on from a switch and into a free end, its cant, traced, through a transition into a larger radius, and of a bend of straights after such an end

fix(editor): the band of the curvature edits each arc of a compound curve: its arcs, elements of an even curvature, were taken for nothing to drag, and any change went to the first radius; now the plateau of an arc changes its own radius, a ramp between two arcs the transition between them, the ends of a plateau the transitions either side of it, by a drag or the wheel, the tooltip and the value shown while dragging naming the arc. The tutorial shows the correcting of a compound curve in a clip recorded in the editor in place of the drawing: the plan of the curve opened, the plateau of R2 dragged from 138 to 174 m, the line applied to the scenery

feat(editor): the top view labels each curve once and each row of straights in line once, not each of their paths: a curve, from its first transition to its last, with the radius of its arc, of each arc of a compound one, its transitions and its cant (each arc's where they differ), as the plan reads it and as the laying shows it, in the middle of it; a straight row with its whole length. A piece of a transition curve no longer shows the radius of the arc as its own. The tutorial clips recorded again with them, in the top view: laying, the curves with a compound one traced (R 300/150) after the bend too sharp for the speed, a track selected with no gizmo, its control vector dragged and taken back, and the switches: one put into a track, a crossover between two tracks and a switch ladder laying its fan; the lessons of the curves and of the switches tell of the compound curve, the crossovers and the ladder

fix(editor): the plan warns of the curved track adjoining a curve only where the curvature jumps there: a curve going on from the diverging track of a switch at its radius (R 300 after R 301 in wsd) no longer has it. The side the adjoining track turns to is taken with its radius into the chain and the design, and the curvature the design meets it with, signed by its turn, compared with it, within 5%; a design kept without the side is taken for turning its way. An empty scenery opens facing north, the top view with the north up as the compass and the orthophoto have it (on LK2 Warszawa Wschodnia left, Rembertow right). The tutorial tells the laying as it works now: the bends clicked and Enter, the curves made at them and orange where too sharp for the speed, Tab for a curve traced, the radius by Ctrl+wheel when joining, the gizmo by Q W E, the terrain model loaded and fitted from the panel of the tracks, signals by I; its texts wrap to a dock it's put in, new clips of laying and of the curves, recorded with the selftest badge drawing the mouse or the key in use; the empty scenery and the shortcuts say the same

feat(editor, track): a cant ramp of its own, off the transition curve: each end of a curve may have its ramp moved and of a length of its own (ST-T1-A6 9.6 pkt 5 and 11), on the straight before the curve or on the arc, the transition keeping the full cant all along, as a switch laid on it wants it; set in the plan under "Cant ramps", stored with the vertex as "ramps", reversed with the curve, marked across the track in the view. The cant of a line is a profile along it now, the paths cut where a ramp of its own starts and ends, their rolls following it, warnings where a ramp is shorter than its cant asks for or reaches into the curve before, past the line or over the other ramp. A switch on a cant ramp is drawn following it: its rails, blades, frogs and bed made at the mean of its rolls, as before, are turned along each path to the roll of the path there, so it no longer steps at its ends against the tracks either side. feat(editor): bends clicked close along a curve make one compound curve, not curves with short straights between them: a row of bends turning the same way, the straights between their curves shorter than as many metres as km/h of the speed (30 m at least), is taken for points of a curve seen on the photo, one curve fitted through them between the straights before and after it, with as many radii meeting with no transitions between them as keep it within 0.3 m of the points, up to eight, and taken where it keeps within 1 m; a row which doesn't is cut in parts, two bends alone joined into one curve along the line their curves laid. A curve traced is two curves turning the same way only with a straight between them as long as that and keeping much closer to the points than one compound curve; a fit running off to the largest radius gives two transition curves meeting. The transitions fitted turn no more than the curve; arcs and spirals are found many times quicker, the curve of a compound fit made straight away, a transition integrated in 64 steps at most. feat(editor): far out the top view shows the base map of OpenStreetMap from geoportal.gov.pl in place of the imagery, tiles as large as the view needs, the ground not drawn under it nor streamed as far as the view; the tracks over it in the colour of the rails, blue by default, and the joints of the pieces left out far out

feat(editor): the top view draws the tracks whole, without the ballast or the rails alone, in a colour of their own over the imagery and the map: both rails close up, one line further out; a choice by the extent and in the View menu, kept in the settings

feat(editor): the signalling, the hectometre posts and the terrain go to layers of their own: <scenery>_srk.scm, _hektometry.scm, _teren.scm, made by the first of them and included by the scenario file, the active layer left as it is; the station descriptions of the signalling there too

feat(editor): the Signals tool goes into the signalling one: its templates under Signals in the SRK panel, the ones the station's signals are placed with too; a click on a tile or Place by a track arms placing, Esc or a click on the armed tile stops it, a click on a track else opening its station; a signal picked in 3D or in Signal heads shows its card at the top of the panel, its template, to the other side, turn around; H no longer a tool

feat(editor): a deleted track leaves its signal reads and its track circuit to the track laid in its place, and the SRK check lists the signals no track reads and the broken lines, with a Repair
...
A deleted track whose read events or track circuit no other track took says so by the cursor, naming the signals and the circuits, and the editor keeps them for the track laid in its place, within a metre of its axis. The read of each signal goes to the piece by the signal, on the list its facing there gives, so a track laid the other way round keeps the trains reading it; the other events go to the piece at its middle, the circuit to a track lying there for the most part, a new track taking it instead of the one of the track it was made from. It happens in the step which lays the track, so Ctrl+Z takes it back and laying it again gets them again; a track which took a circuit over and is removed by another step leaves it to that step, and the events of a signal taken away stay off the tracks.
The SRK panel of a station lists what it and its lines need: signals no track reads, lines broken off where the tracks go on beyond a gap, tracks of a line of the automatic block in no block section, block sections whose tracks are gone. A row shows the place; Repair has the track by each signal read it again, as moving it does, and sets the line signals again where tracks are in no block section. A warning after an operation shows by the cursor in amber, a refusal in red as before. srkcheck counts these too, srkfix repairs, join takes the height of the ends for sceneries far above zero.

feat(editor): the signals and the signs by a track go with it as the Plan lays it anew, square to the line, not along it
...
A curve laid anew, its radius changed or made compound, or a straight moved: the paths of the chain are cut again where their joints stood, set square onto the new line, each keeping its stretch of the ground, so their events, their track circuits and the cuts of the block sections stay where they were instead of being handed on along the line; the parts between the switches alike, the old even sharing kept where the joints don't follow one another along the new line.
The objects by a track taken for a change go with it by themselves: the signals and the warning discs it or its run reads, the SHP resonators by their events, and the controls of the block sections, the hectometre posts, the W17 markers and the other signs by the track nearest to them, within 12 m. They move square to the new axis keeping their offset and their turn, an object moved by hand meanwhile staying where it was put. Such a binding isn't kept in the scenery nor shown among the bound objects of the infra tool, which can still bind the object for good, and the undo and the redo take the objects back and forth with the tracks. The status of the Plan tells how many objects moved with the tracks. A path taking an object over the other way round keeps it on its side, turned as it was.

feat(editor): the automatic block both ways or mixed, and the lines out on the schematic
...
A block boundary of a line both ways has, on each track, the block signal of its trains 15 m before the joint and the one of the wrong-track trains 15 m beyond it, named after its twin with N, both on the outside of the line, the templates leaning the other way picked for the N ones, as on the lines of PKP PLK. The mixed block keeps the automatic block for the trains of the track and the semi-automatic one for the wrong-track ones: no N signals, a warning disc the braking distance before the entry signal of the wrong-track trains. A choice under the table of the lines sets either for the double-track lines of the station, kept in the record of the station, and by itself a line takes the mixed block where a warning disc stands for its wrong-track trains and no N signal does. Set the line signals places the N signals or the warning disc and takes the other away, a block boundary drawn places the N signals of a line both ways, and sbl_odstep.inc switches both block signals of a section with its 7th parameter. The name shown at the mouse while drawing takes the letter the block signal will get where its number stands already.
The station schematic shows the lines out to the next stations straightened: their block sections in the colours of their names with their lengths, the joints, the block signals and the warning discs with their km on the outside of the line, the axis in km; Lines fits them in, a section under the mouse tells its name, length and km, and a click on it flies there in the 3d view.

fix(editor): a block boundary drawn places its signal across only where the other track runs near, the hover and the click count the block signals facing the trains alike, an SHP resonator at a joint finds the piece of a track cut for another one, and a batch of signals missing its template changes nothing but the tracks cut, Ctrl+Z taking them back; the km of each line kept for the hover, the shorter block section named in its warning, the block column wider
