feat(editor): the drive of a switch stands by the tips of its blades, not at the joint before them, and goes with the switch deleted. A drive placed, changed or carried along with its switch is set where the blades begin, as they're shaped or where the diverging track is broken at the tip of a planed blade, along the main track there, its heading and its tilt taken there; the drives the earlier versions of the editor set at the joints are moved there once, as the scenery is opened and the templates are known, with no step of the undo history, to be saved with it. Deleting a switch, a double switch or a set of tracks takes the drives of the switches along in the same step, Ctrl+Z brings them back. The joint before the blades and the tips of the blades of the switch being placed or the one selected are marked across the track in the view, so the tips seen on the photo aren't taken for the start of the switch. Selftests bladetips, drivetips; on a copy of test42 the drive of z1 went from the joint to 1.248 m, deleted with z1, back with Ctrl+Z

feat(editor): the download area drawn on the topo map: a polygon is the boundary of what the editor downloads, the orthophoto and the terrain model alike. Drawn from the settings of the orthophoto (Download area, Draw on the map, the top view on): a click puts a point, a point dragged moves, Shift+click removes it, Backspace takes the last one back, Enter closes the area, Esc gives up; it's kept in the scenery as //$a lines in PUWG 1992, so it stays on the ground when the origin moves. Inside it everything the settings ask for, the standard imagery, the 4K one where it's ticked and covers the place, the squares of the terrain model where the scenery has its terrain, goes to the disk cache in the background, nothing decoded nor uploaded, only while no tile around the camera waits and not while the scenery is driven, with its progress, Pause and Retry under it; outside it nothing is asked for, around the camera, along the tracks or ahead of the laying, nor shown. The workers of the orthophoto are 8, at most 3 of them on the tiles around the camera, each holding an image decoded, the rest downloading the area. The 4K tiles: an image the tile no longer wants once it comes, as a 4K one asked for before the camera moved on, isn't uploaded (the 64 MB and the mipmaps of it), nor decoded where a newer job of the tile waits; no two jobs of one tile run at once; a standard tile coming blank twice is remembered by a .blank file, not downloaded again on each return; a 4K tile is uploaded only in a frame with no other upload. Selftests orthoarea, orthostats, orthohires, orthoareapause; unit tests of the tiles a triangle, a concave polygon, a thin band and a polygon about a corner touch (geometry::squares_in, square_touches)

feat(editor): a track deleted cuts the design kept for its line down to the tracks left along it, in the same step of the undo history: a design keeps the stretch of its line it stands for (//$h kept <from> <to>), a track deleted in the middle parts it in two, one at an end shortens it, a design with no track left is forgotten. The geometry stays as designed, only its reach changes. A design cut down isn't taken whole by the route plan nor merged with a new one nor carried along by a switch slid, and gives no designed curve to the tracks left of a curve it cut, which are recognized as they lie: a track laid by hand into the gap is never pulled back to the old shape. The status tells of it. The //$h click lines are the editor's own now: read back with their design, and written once on save instead of staying behind and piling up. Selftests on a copy of wgr.scn: a track of a compound curve deleted in the middle, undone and redone, one at an end, all of a piece, saved and read back

fix(editor): a curve laid from a free end on a curve, or to one, goes on from its curvature: traced (Tab) from the end of the diverging track of a switch it begins right at P4 at the radius of the switch, not on a straight nor with a transition from a curvature of 0. The design of the line takes the curve of the adjoining track at each end (start_curved/end_curved with the radius, the side and the cant, kept with it in the scenery): the curve of the first vertex turning its way, or of the last one, begins right at the end, its transition going from that curvature and cant to those of its first arc, as between the arcs of a compound curve, none where it goes on at its radius; the radius of its arcs is the one which begins it there, solved for the tangent, the curves next to it making room on the straight. A curve traced next to such an end is fitted by its transitions alone, with none between the curves where the points keep to that as well, or laid from a straight there where it doesn't go on from it or that keeps to the points much closer: eased out of the curve of a plain track by the transition of the norms, the line beginning at its end, or right from P4, as a switch goes on with a straight. A bend of straights turning the way of the curve gets its curve going on from it with the transitions and the cant of the norms; the other way, or a straight, as before: eased out of the curve of a plain track, the jump of the curvature kept at a switch, as at its start, and not warned of. The cant of the adjoining track goes on into the curve with no ramp at that end; the norms ask for the transition between the curves only where the curvature differs by more than 5 % or the cant by 5 mm. The readout by the cursor, the status after laying and the plan tell the curve going on from the track, the plan with a box to go on or not. Dragged back to P4 from a point the curve goes on from its radius too. Selftests laywalk, laybends, curvejoint, endcurves; unit tests of a curve going on from a switch and into a free end, its cant, traced, through a transition into a larger radius, and of a bend of straights after such an end

feat(editor): laying and editing the track as a beginner meets them: the points clicked and not laid yet named at the top of the panel with Lay (Enter) and Drop the points, Enter shown by the bar at the bottom while there are some, and a first Esc over them only warning, the second one dropping them; the readout by the cursor kept in the 3d view, on the other side of the cursor where the view ends, with only the first warning of a curve and how many more the panel lists; the grid, the labels and the lines drawn over the view no longer seen through the docks; the gizmo in the tracks hidden until Q, W or E or its buttons above the view bring it out, an arrow there hiding it again, so a selected track isn't moved by chance; the radius of the curves at the bends headed so in the panel, the laid line told in metres and pieces, the hints of the select tool and of a straight shifted around an obstacle translated. An empty scenery opens facing north, the top view with the north up as the compass and the orthophoto have it (on LK2 Warszawa Wschodnia left, Rembertow right). The tutorial tells the laying as it works now: the bends clicked and Enter, the curves made at them and orange where too sharp for the speed, Tab for a curve traced, the radius by Ctrl+wheel when joining, the gizmo by Q W E, the terrain model loaded and fitted from the panel of the tracks, signals by I; its texts wrap to a dock it's put in, new clips of laying and of the curves, recorded with the selftest badge drawing the mouse or the key in use; the empty scenery and the shortcuts say the same

feat(editor): with the gizmo hidden a track is changed by its ends only: its control vectors are neither drawn nor caught until Q, W, E or the buttons above the view bring the gizmo out, so a track selected won't bend by chance; the hints say what dragging an end does (a joint: the neighbours follow, a free end: a new track out of it, with Ctrl it moves). The tutorial has a lesson of its own for editing with the gizmo, after the one of selecting and fixing, which no longer speaks of it: the arrows, the rings, the handles, the control vectors, a point clicked, Ctrl and Esc, ticked off when the gizmo is out and a track bent or moved with it; thirteen lessons. Also puts back in place two lines of the band of the curvature which dd64b821 committed out of their place (the arc declared inside the loop, so that commit didn't compile)

fix(editor): a track bent by its second control vector is drawn bent: the straightening of a straight with control vectors (world/Track.cpp) checked the first vector twice, so with it left along the straight the second one, dragged with the gizmo, changed the data but not the track drawn; now a straight only where both vectors lie along it or aren't given. A track bent by hand into an S between two points dragged is labelled with its length (L 77 m), not with a radius of many kilometres read off it; the "K: split here" by the cursor isn't shown while a point is dragged; Ctrl+Z takes away the warning by the cursor of what it took back (the paths that left the kept design). The tutorial clips of editing recorded again: selecting and fixing without the gizmo (a joint dragged, the warning read, Ctrl+Z), and the new one of editing with the gizmo (Q, a control vector dragged bending the track, W, E)
