2b8d7d7cf3 refactor(track): what goes with unevenness in one place, readable
The rules stay in TrackUneven.h with no dependence on the engine, as they can
be tested. Their use on the tracks moves out of Track.cpp to TrackUneven.cpp,
split into steps: the group of switches, the values of its paths, the meeting
of two ends. One set of helpers for the paths of a track takes the place of
the same conditions written out in several places, and the value at the ends
of a switch is worked out in one place. The clatter of an axle leaves the long
Update of a vehicle. The fields in the editor say themselves when they show.

No change in behaviour.

ec2d226688 fix(editor): the uneven attribute is written in the layout of the entry it goes into
Its numbers go by position, and the positions differ between a plain track
and a switch. A switch made in the style of a plain track wrote them in the
layout of the plain one, so they were read back as other values: the up and
down part as the value of the path p3-p4, and so on.

The values are now one struct with pure functions to read, write and resolve
them, which replaces eight fields and which the unit tests can reach.

02abc7df0a feat(track): all of the unevenness in one attribute, with values for each path of a switch
Usage, before endtrack, in mm, 0-100, separated by semicolons with no
spaces:

  a plain track: uneven value;up;side;cross;dip
  a switch: uneven p1-p2;p3-p4;up p1-p2;side p1-p2;up p3-p4;side p3-p4

  uneven 18 the value alone
uneven 18;;;25;6 with its own cross level and dip at the joints
  uneven 0;;30 sideways alone
uneven 14;35 a switch, 14 on the straight path, 35 on the diverging

What's left out takes the first number, the dip goes by the up and down
one, and a path p3-p4 with no numbers of its own takes those of p1-p2.
This replaces unevenup, unevenside, unevencross and jointdip. The fields
in the editor stay, track panel, section Ride and sound.

At the end they share, the paths of a switch keep to the lower value, and
each comes to its own value along the way. Joined switches take the lowest
of the same path, a path joined to another path the lower of the two, and
a plain track comes to the value of the path it meets. See
track_uneven_doc.md.

e5266e1e6b feat(track): track unevenness declared in the track entry
Usage, optional attributes of a track entry, before endtrack:

uneven <mm> peak deviation of a rail on a 10 m chord, 0-100; normal and switch
unevenup <mm> up and down alone, instead of uneven; normal and switch
unevenside <mm> sideways alone, instead of uneven; normal and switch
unevencross <mm> cross level alone, instead of uneven; normal only
jointdip <mm> depth of the dip at rail joints, every sound distance; normal only,
default 0.4 of the up and down component

Values of uneven follow PLK Id-14 appendix 1: 6 mm is the limit at 160 km/h, 10 at 120,
18 at 80, 35 at 40; half of it for a track in a good state. Example:

  uneven 18
  unevencross 25
  jointdip 6
  endtrack

The same fields are in the editor, track panel, section Ride and sound. See
track_uneven_doc.md.

The unevenness is a displacement field over the plan of the scenery, with no random
numbers: one place strays the same every time, and joined tracks, the paths of a switch,
sleepermodel and axles at one place move together. Tracks meet at a joint at the lower of
their values. Joined switches take the lowest of theirs, the tracks joined to them come to
it, and a track with none of a component keeps the switch to its design in it. The clatter
comes from the dipping joints. Curve radius and grade for the physics stay as designed.

Tracks with it get geometry every 2 m on straights: 4x the vertices on Baltyk with all
tracks flagged, 0.2 ms more per frame on td.scn.

80379b991c feat(editor): the work of the editor sessions not committed yet, as it stands: a curve traced on from the end of the diverging track of a switch goes on at its radius with no transition in, or from a straight right at the switch (alignment start_held, fit_going_on), the plan taking an end adjoining R 10 km or more for a straight; the switches and slips laid into curves, slid along them and laid alone on one straight (frame_path, switch slide); the route plan reading curves going on from the tracks adjoining, the kept designs taken or forgotten; the orthophoto and terrain model settings, downloads and layers, the tracks onto the terrain; the curvature of a path in the plan (bezier::plan_curvature); the Polish texts of all of it. 2eda26b94c feat(editor): a warning of the sudden change of the cant deficiency right behind a switch, as ST-T1-A6 sees it (9.11): a track laid on from the end of the diverging track of a switch, or into it, is checked by switch_curve::check_exit from the end of the curve of the switch, a straight frog's length before its end, to the first sudden change of the curvature of the track laid. Two of them nearer than the intermediate element of table 9.16 (6 m in track connections up to 60 km/h) are taken together, else each one alone, against table 9.15 (130 mm up to 60 km/h), at the speed of the laying or of the diverging track of the switch, the lower one. The view tells of it by the cursor while the track is extended or laid, the status once it's laid; a transition out of the frog straight makes no sudden change. Selftest: from a Rz S42-190-1:7,5 with a frog straight of 1.66 m a curve the other way of R 200 m warned of 194 mm together, the same way none; from a Rz 60E1-190-1:9 with 6.09 m a curve the other way of R 200 m none, of R 120 m warned of 157 mm 2026-10-29 22:16:19 +01:00

b0918628b4 fix(editor): a curve traced from the end of the diverging track of a switch with one point clicked goes on with the curve of the switch as far as abreast of the point, seen from its centre, and ends on it there, instead of turning into a straight where the straight to the point left it: the curve is held to where it was clicked, a point inside it as well. Selftest: one point after P4 of a Rz 60E1-300-1:9 laid R 300 m on to 238.36 13.31 for a point at 240 8, to 243.31 14.88 for one at 240 25, the curvature at P4 going on within 0.5 % 2026-10-27 19:41:50 +01:00

667e433af9 feat(editor): a slip is selected, slid and deleted whole: any track of it picked shows all of it selected, editor_mode::slip_of finding its switches by its record, the tracks between them and its four ends. Dragged along, the slip moves along its first track with the straights out to the joints of its template and its crossing track, as far as that one goes on into tracks with their ends free, the straights of its first track before it and past it lengthened and shortened, a metre of them kept; one bent into a curve isn't slid, nor one whose crossing track is joined on beyond it. Deleted, it leaves its two tracks crossing from end to end in its place, kept in the scenery as a crossing Skrz, as a switch leaves its main track; Shift+Del takes all of it, Ctrl+Z brings it back. Selftest: a Rkp laid with its crossing track slid 5 m on and 3 m back, the joints of its template with it, walked through; deleted into a crossing Skrz 1:9 walked through, back with Ctrl+Z; a Rkpd at a crossing of straights with free ends slid 2 m, deleted into a crossing 2026-10-27 19:40:56 +01:00

7b11db566e feat(editor): a slip Rkp or Rkpd bent into a curve of a side track: dragged on a curve with a slip armed it's laid out on the tangent to the curve where it was pressed and bent onto the curve as a switch laid into one is, editor_mode::frame_path laying a path of a template into the curve for both, its crossing track coming along with its ends free, ahead to the side of the drag, the slip curve of a single slip on that side, the straights of both tracks out to the joints of its template. A crossing goes only where two straights cross, a curve as sharp as the slip curves is refused. As it's dragged the view tells the radii of its tracks and slip curves, its cant and what switch_curve::check_slip says, the 11.4 pkt 4b of ST-T1-A6 among it; laid, the status the same. A slip bent into a curve isn't replaced by one laid out of straights. Selftests switchcurve, bladetips: a Rkpd 49E1-190-1:9 in R 800 m with its slip curves of R 154 and 249 m and the warnings of 11.4 pkt 4b and table 9.2, one of R 300 m in R 800 m with no warning of table 9.2, a Rkp in R 4000 m, the blades from 1.248 m on all of them; refused in R 150 m, a Skrz refused 2026-10-27 19:39:38 +01:00

7f6a8736ca feat(editor): a slip goes only where the straights cross at the skos of its template: a Rkpd 1:9 was laid at a crossing of 1:7 or 1:14 as well, shaped for the angle of the tracks there into no slip of the catalogue. The straights crossing at a skos more than 0.14 deg off it, half of what keeps 1:9.51 and 1:10 apart, are refused with the skos they cross at and the slip of the same kind made for it, of the same rail and radius first, or none; a double slip replaced by one of another skos likewise. The panel and the hints say the slip goes at its skos. Selftest: a Rkpd 49E1-190-1:9 laid at 1:9 and 1:9.08, refused at 1:7 with no template for it and at 1:9.51 with Rkpd S42-230-1:9,51 fitting 2026-10-27 19:35:01 +01:00

f8a12107a0 feat(editor): a switch laid with no track there, and no switch laid by a click: a press on the ground with a switch armed lays the switch there, its start where it was pressed, the direction of its main track taken from the drag once it's 4 m long and held, the drag sideways then giving the side of the diverging track, back by the start the direction free again; pressed by a free end within 5 m it goes on from that end in its direction and grade, joined to it. Its ends are left free to lay on from, styled after the track it goes on from or as the lay tool lays its tracks (editor_track::create_switch with a path_style). A press let go within 10 pixels places no switch, a slip at a crossing included, which was laid at once on the press: it's laid once dragged, its straights shown meanwhile. The hints and the panel tell of both. Selftest switchfree: Rz 60E1-300-1:9 on the ground with its four ends free, from the free end of a straight joined and walked through; a click on a straight laid none, a drag laid z1 2026-10-27 19:33:23 +01:00

476909581f fix(track): two switches laid right after one another, with no plain track between them, are joined, the vehicles no longer derail there: only the plain tracks looked for their neighbours, so the end of the main track of one switch at the start of the next one was joined to nothing, and an axle getting to it ran onto a track made to derail it. TTrack::join_switches joins the free ends of a switch to the ends of other switches in the same points, on both sides, with the codes of the ends the axles go on by: the end of either path of one at the start of the other, two facing at their starts, two meeting at their ends; done once the plain tracks are joined as the scenery is loaded, the old sceneries too, and as the editor joins a switch laid. Selftest pathwalk walks the tracks as an axle does: P2 to P1, P4 to P1, start to start and end to end go through either way 2026-10-26 20:40:51 +01:00

bfb045f2ad fix(editor): traced in the mode of a curve from the end of the diverging track of a switch, the line goes on with the curve of the switch: with a single point clicked the ghost was a straight right from P4, laid so with Enter, and points clicked on the photo a little off the curve gave way to the line from a straight there. One point after P4 lays the curve of the switch going on as far as the straight from it heads for the point; a curve going on from P4 which turns its way stays however loosely the points keep to it, the line from a straight taken only where they turn the other way. Selftest: one point after P4 laid R 300.9 going on, the curvature unbroken at the joint, where it was a straight before 2026-10-26 20:40:44 +01:00

ef592e6479 feat(editor): the drive of a switch stands by the tips of its blades, not at the joint before them, and goes with the switch deleted. A drive placed, changed or carried along with its switch is set where the blades begin, as they're shaped or where the diverging track is broken at the tip of a planed blade, along the main track there, its heading and its tilt taken there; the drives the earlier versions of the editor set at the joints are moved there once, as the scenery is opened and the templates are known, with no step of the undo history, to be saved with it. Deleting a switch, a double switch or a set of tracks takes the drives of the switches along in the same step, Ctrl+Z brings them back. The joint before the blades and the tips of the blades of the switch being placed or the one selected are marked across the track in the view, so the tips seen on the photo aren't taken for the start of the switch. Selftests bladetips, drivetips; on a copy of test42 the drive of z1 went from the joint to 1.248 m, deleted with z1, back with Ctrl+Z 2026-10-26 20:40:37 +01:00

aed2cfad2c feat(editor): a track deleted cuts the design kept for its line down to the tracks left along it, in the same step of the undo history: a design keeps the stretch of its line it stands for (//$h kept <from> <to>), a track deleted in the middle parts it in two, one at an end shortens it, a design with no track left is forgotten. The geometry stays as designed, only its reach changes. A design cut down isn't taken whole by the route plan nor merged with a new one nor carried along by a switch slid, and gives no designed curve to the tracks left of a curve it cut, which are recognized as they lie: a track laid by hand into the gap is never pulled back to the old shape. The status tells of it. The //$h click lines are the editor's own now: read back with their design, and written once on save instead of staying behind and piling up. Selftests on a copy of wgr.scn: a track of a compound curve deleted in the middle, undone and redone, one at an end, all of a piece, saved and read back 2026-10-26 19:50:35 +01:00

eb3d3eb1e0 feat(editor): in the mode of the straights the line from the end of the diverging track of a switch begins with a straight right at P4, the curvature jumping as at the start of the switch, a bend clicked getting its own curve where it was clicked; only a curve traced from P4 goes on with the curve of the switch. Dragged from a free end the shape follows the mode of laying: a straight in the one of the straights, from P4 right from its end, an arc and a straight in the one of a curve (Tab), from P4 the curve of the switch going on; the four shapes to pick under More settings and with Shift+wheel are gone, which only muddled the two ways of laying. Shift+wheel picks the way of joining over another free end. The hints, the readout by the cursor and the table of the keys say so. Selftests of P4: a straight of 100 m and of 15 m laid right from P4, bends of 8 degrees either way after a straight, dragged straight; traced and joined from P4 the curve of the switch goes on 2026-10-26 19:50:28 +01:00

d6df785b78 feat(editor): the download area drawn on the topo map: a polygon is the boundary of what the editor downloads, the orthophoto and the terrain model alike. Drawn from the settings of the orthophoto (Download area, Draw on the map, the top view on): a click puts a point, a point dragged moves, Shift+click removes it, Backspace takes the last one back, Enter closes the area, Esc gives up; it's kept in the scenery as //$a lines in PUWG 1992, so it stays on the ground when the origin moves. Inside it everything the settings ask for, the standard imagery, the 4K one where it's ticked and covers the place, the squares of the terrain model where the scenery has its terrain, goes to the disk cache in the background, nothing decoded nor uploaded, only while no tile around the camera waits and not while the scenery is driven, with its progress, Pause and Retry under it; outside it nothing is asked for, around the camera, along the tracks or ahead of the laying, nor shown. The workers of the orthophoto are 8, at most 3 of them on the tiles around the camera, each holding an image decoded, the rest downloading the area. The 4K tiles: an image the tile no longer wants once it comes, as a 4K one asked for before the camera moved on, isn't uploaded (the 64 MB and the mipmaps of it), nor decoded where a newer job of the tile waits; no two jobs of one tile run at once; a standard tile coming blank twice is remembered by a .blank file, not downloaded again on each return; a 4K tile is uploaded only in a frame with no other upload. Selftests orthoarea, orthostats, orthohires, orthoareapause; unit tests of the tiles a triangle, a concave polygon, a thin band and a polygon about a corner touch (geometry::squares_in, square_touches) 2026-10-26 18:58:09 +01:00

a0427bb80b feat(editor): from the end of the diverging track of a switch the line laid always goes on with the curve of the switch: a straight or a bend the other way after P4 begins with the transition out of the curve of the switch, as after a plain track on a curve, never with a jump of the curvature, whether laid through points, traced, dragged in the straight layout or joined to another free end. The transition is the one for the speed the curve of the switch allows with no cant (about 48 km/h at R 300, so 20 to 30 m), not for the speed of the line. A straight with no bend clicked on from such an end runs on the way the transition leaves, as far as the point clicked, not along the tangent at the end, which left no room for the transition. Where no transition fits, as for a straight shorter than it, nothing is laid and the status says why 2026-10-25 17:26:26 +01:00

34bd7c853e fix(editor): no path of a few millimetres laid by the route design, and no camera at no finite place: an arc of a compound curve squeezed to almost nothing in the plan (a share of 0.00002) made pieces of a few millimetres, which the simulation takes for paths of no length (Bad track: zero length spline, it measures a path in steps of 5 cm), laid as tracks with kinks at their joints. alignment::pieces gives such a stretch to the piece next to it, the one between the same joints if there's one, so no piece is shorter than 10 cm, and a piece of no finite length isn't split for ever. A zoom with the wheel aimed at a point which isn't a number doesn't move the camera, and a camera gone to no finite place goes back to where it last was: right after such tracks were laid the graphics driver hung (TDR) and the whole machine froze. A unit test cuts 4000 compound curves of random arcs, transitions and shares into pieces, as the plan lays them over the paths there and all over again, and finds none under 5 cm 2026-10-25 17:26:16 +01:00

aca659754b fix(editor): Ctrl+Z after a crossover laid along a curve leaves nothing behind, and such a crossover reaches from a transition onto the straight: the pieces the cut of the curve split off and then took out under a switch in the same step went into the history both as made and as taken out, so an undo retired them and brought them back, loose on top of the tracks put back (the curve seen chopped along its old path); now such a piece is neither, and push_track_snapshot drops a path that is both for every tool. The design of the grade line of the outer track, raised with the crossover, goes back with the undo as well (the step keeps the library of the designs), also when a crossover is moved or taken out for the route laid again. The frame a crossover along a curve is planned in goes on 250 m along the straights past the ends of the curve, and the release may fall on the straight of the other track: pressed near the end of the last transition and dragged towards the straight, its first switch ran past the end of the curve and the crossover was refused ("A switch of the connection runs off the end of its straight"); the first switch is drawn along that frame as it's dragged. The insert takes the style and the name of the track pressed on 2026-10-25 17:26:05 +01:00

f83a1a0cd2 feat(editor): the tracks onto the terrain from the terrain panel too: the terrain model (F5 Terrain) has a step 3, Tracks and terrain, with Tracks onto the terrain, the one to take first, big, what it does told under it (all the tracks go down or up onto the model, loaded along them by itself), then, after "Or:", Only the ones not fitted and Terrain under the tracks, each with a line of the case it's for; the same block stays in the panel of the tracks, under All the tracks of the scenery, with a line saying where the scenery is put on the map while it isn't. The progress of these is shown at step 3, the loading buttons of step 2 greyed meanwhile. The terrain lesson of the tutorial tells of step 3 so 2026-10-25 13:42:51 +01:00

79a8c13586 fix(editor): a track bent by its second control vector is drawn bent: the straightening of a straight with control vectors (world/Track.cpp) checked the first vector twice, so with it left along the straight the second one, dragged with the gizmo, changed the data but not the track drawn; now a straight only where both vectors lie along it or aren't given. A track bent by hand into an S between two points dragged is labelled with its length (L 77 m), not with a radius of many kilometres read off it; the "K: split here" by the cursor isn't shown while a point is dragged; Ctrl+Z takes away the warning by the cursor of what it took back (the paths that left the kept design). The tutorial clips of editing recorded again: selecting and fixing without the gizmo (a joint dragged, the warning read, Ctrl+Z), and the new one of editing with the gizmo (Q, a control vector dragged bending the track, W, E) 2026-10-25 12:57:23 +01:00
maj00r
a312fd9935 feat(editor): with the gizmo hidden a track is changed by its ends only: its control vectors are neither drawn nor caught until Q, W, E or the buttons above the view bring the gizmo out, so a track selected won't bend by chance; the hints say what dragging an end does (a joint: the neighbours follow, a free end: a new track out of it, with Ctrl it moves). The tutorial has a lesson of its own for editing with the gizmo, after the one of selecting and fixing, which no longer speaks of it: the arrows, the rings, the handles, the control vectors, a point clicked, Ctrl and Esc, ticked off when the gizmo is out and a track bent or moved with it; thirteen lessons. Also puts back in place two lines of the band of the curvature which dd64b821 committed out of their place (the arc declared inside the loop, so that commit didn't compile) 2026-10-25 12:33:19 +01:00

97b6a84d1b fix(editor): a curve laid from a free end on a curve, or to one, goes on from its curvature: traced (Tab) from the end of the diverging track of a switch it begins right at P4 at the radius of the switch, not on a straight nor with a transition from a curvature of 0. The design of the line takes the curve of the adjoining track at each end (start_curved/end_curved with the radius, the side and the cant, kept with it in the scenery): the curve of the first vertex turning its way, or of the last one, begins right at the end, its transition going from that curvature and cant to those of its first arc, as between the arcs of a compound curve, none where it goes on at its radius; the radius of its arcs is the one which begins it there, solved for the tangent, the curves next to it making room on the straight. A curve traced next to such an end is fitted by its transitions alone, with none between the curves where the points keep to that as well, or laid from a straight there where it doesn't go on from it or that keeps to the points much closer: eased out of the curve of a plain track by the transition of the norms, the line beginning at its end, or right from P4, as a switch goes on with a straight. A bend of straights turning the way of the curve gets its curve going on from it with the transitions and the cant of the norms; the other way, or a straight, as before: eased out of the curve of a plain track, the jump of the curvature kept at a switch, as at its start, and not warned of. The cant of the adjoining track goes on into the curve with no ramp at that end; the norms ask for the transition between the curves only where the curvature differs by more than 5 % or the cant by 5 mm. The readout by the cursor, the status after laying and the plan tell the curve going on from the track, the plan with a box to go on or not. Dragged back to P4 from a point the curve goes on from its radius too. Selftests laywalk, laybends, curvejoint, endcurves; unit tests of a curve going on from a switch and into a free end, its cant, traced, through a transition into a larger radius, and of a bend of straights after such an end 2026-10-25 12:28:55 +01:00

91900a0ead fix(editor): the band of the curvature edits each arc of a compound curve: its arcs, elements of an even curvature, were taken for nothing to drag, and any change went to the first radius; now the plateau of an arc changes its own radius, a ramp between two arcs the transition between them, the ends of a plateau the transitions either side of it, by a drag or the wheel, the tooltip and the value shown while dragging naming the arc. The tutorial shows the correcting of a compound curve in a clip recorded in the editor in place of the drawing: the plan of the curve opened, the plateau of R2 dragged from 138 to 174 m, the line applied to the scenery 2026-10-25 12:01:12 +01:00

cb766dabb4 feat(editor): the top view labels each curve once and each row of straights in line once, not each of their paths: a curve, from its first transition to its last, with the radius of its arc, of each arc of a compound one, its transitions and its cant (each arc's where they differ), as the plan reads it and as the laying shows it, in the middle of it; a straight row with its whole length. A piece of a transition curve no longer shows the radius of the arc as its own. The tutorial clips recorded again with them, in the top view: laying, the curves with a compound one traced (R 300/150) after the bend too sharp for the speed, a track selected with no gizmo, its control vector dragged and taken back, and the switches: one put into a track, a crossover between two tracks and a switch ladder laying its fan; the lessons of the curves and of the switches tell of the compound curve, the crossovers and the ladder 2026-10-25 11:35:25 +01:00

29b9b93353 fix(editor): the plan warns of the curved track adjoining a curve only where the curvature jumps there: a curve going on from the diverging track of a switch at its radius (R 300 after R 301 in wsd) no longer has it. The side the adjoining track turns to is taken with its radius into the chain and the design, and the curvature the design meets it with, signed by its turn, compared with it, within 5%; a design kept without the side is taken for turning its way. Unit test: R 300 from the very start after R 301 turning the same way gives no warning, turning the other way or starting with a straight does 2026-10-25 11:14:49 +01:00

bbb3e9e61e feat(editor): laying and editing the track as a beginner meets them: the points clicked and not laid yet named at the top of the panel with Lay (Enter) and Drop the points, Enter shown by the bar at the bottom while there are some, and a first Esc over them only warning, the second one dropping them; the readout by the cursor kept in the 3d view, on the other side of the cursor where the view ends, with only the first warning of a curve and how many more the panel lists; the grid, the labels and the lines drawn over the view no longer seen through the docks; the gizmo in the tracks hidden until Q, W or E or its buttons above the view bring it out, an arrow there hiding it again, so a selected track isn't moved by chance; the radius of the curves at the bends headed so in the panel, the laid line told in metres and pieces, the hints of the select tool and of a straight shifted around an obstacle translated. An empty scenery opens facing north, the top view with the north up as the compass and the orthophoto have it (on LK2 Warszawa Wschodnia left, Rembertow right). The tutorial tells the laying as it works now: the bends clicked and Enter, the curves made at them and orange where too sharp for the speed, Tab for a curve traced, the radius by Ctrl+wheel when joining, the gizmo by Q W E, the terrain model loaded and fitted from the panel of the tracks, signals by I; its texts wrap to a dock it's put in, new clips of laying and of the curves, recorded with the selftest badge drawing the mouse or the key in use; the empty scenery and the shortcuts say the same 2026-10-25 11:02:45 +01:00

e43863932d feat(editor, track): a cant ramp of its own, off the transition curve: each end of a curve may have its ramp moved and of a length of its own (ST-T1-A6 9.6 pkt 5 and 11), on the straight before the curve or on the arc, the transition keeping the full cant all along, as a switch laid on it wants it; set in the plan under "Cant ramps", stored with the vertex as "ramps", reversed with the curve, marked across the track in the view. The cant of a line is a profile along it now, the paths cut where a ramp of its own starts and ends, their rolls following it, warnings where a ramp is shorter than its cant asks for or reaches into the curve before, past the line or over the other ramp. A switch on a cant ramp is drawn following it: its rails, blades, frogs and bed made at the mean of its rolls, as before, are turned along each path to the roll of the path there, so it no longer steps at its ends against the tracks either side. The checks of a switch laid into a curve warn of the values of table 11.9 in brackets as of the others, with no word of a consent. ece61056ff feat(editor): a switch laid into a curve is checked by ST-T1-A6 as it's placed: the radii of its main and diverging tracks at its start and its end shown at it; warnings where the curvature of a track turns from one side to the other within it (KZW II, 9.7 pkt 12), where the diverging track is sharper or the main track bent more than table 11.9 allows the basic switch (the values allowed by way of exception named), where a switch of 1:9.403 or steeper is bent (11.4 pkt 4), where the cant changes within it (11.4 pkt 7), where a cant ramp starts or ends within it or under 6 m off it (9.6 pkt 16-17) and where the cant is over 100 mm (table 9.6); a note on a transition curve, which only an exception allows. The ends of the cant ramps are marked on the curve, and the start of the switch pressed within 3 m of where it starts or ends at an end of a ramp, or keeps the 6 m off it, is drawn there. The warnings stay in the status once it's laid. The checks stand on their own in editor/editorSwitchCurve, with unit tests 2026-10-25 00:29:05 +02:00

aeef2cebb3 feat(editor): the plan shows which curve is edited: each named W1, W2... as its vertex is in the view, with its km and "Show in the view", which flies the camera over it; the part of it whose field the mouse is over or which is being edited (the whole curve, an arc of a compound one, the transition in, out or between two arcs) lit up in the view and named there with its radius, cant or length. The points clicked when a line is laid are kept with its design in the scenery ("click" lines, moved with it): the plan shows them in the colours of their departure and, while "Keep to the points clicked" is on, fits the radii of a curve whose transitions or cants are changed again to them, its transitions and cants as set; "Transitions for these cants" makes the transitions as long as the norms ask for at the radii and the cants set, an arc of a compound curve with no cant lengthening the ones either side of it. Unit test: 50 m between the arcs become 85 m, the curve 4 cm off the points clicked instead of 58 2026-10-25 00:11:58 +02:00

2a399a92a5 feat(editor): each arc of a compound curve has a cant of its own, set in the Plan by each radius ("Cant of R1 (mm)"...), ramped along the transition curves between the arcs; until it's set, the cant of the curve in proportion to the curvature of the arc, as before, "auto" taking it back to that and "Apply recommended for V" all of them. The transitions between the arcs of the norms follow the cants set; warnings where the cant of an arc exceeds the norms, where the unbalanced acceleration does on any arc, and where a transition curve, at the ends or between the arcs, is shorter than the change of the curvature and of the cant along it needs. The labels of the curves show the cants of the arcs where they differ. Stored with the vertex as "cants", reversed with the curve; a unit test 2026-10-24 23:41:26 +02:00

00f066ac33 fix(editor): a track laid keeps in the scenery the design it was laid by, as it is, not its curves read from the paths again: read again a compound curve with transitions between its arcs came out another one, the plan showing it so. A track dragged from a free end, or laid on from one by the buttons, is no longer read either, nor the run of the tracks it joins with it, which put a design read so in the place of the one laid; the plan reads such curves when it's opened 2026-10-24 23:15:36 +02:00

133ba9cb45 fix(editor): the heights from point to point broke the grade only at the bends of straights which stay bends, a curve traced or bends clicked close along a curve going at one grade from one of its ends to the other, attached there; and two tracks laid no longer meet at two heights where a point was clicked within 5 m of their joint, each end of a piece not cut there taking the height of its own stretch, not of the one the middle of the piece lies on (steps of 0.6 m on a steep grade in abc). 4602f727bb feat(editor): bends clicked close along a curve make one compound curve, not curves with short straights between them: a row of bends turning the same way, the straights between their curves shorter than as many metres as km/h of the speed (30 m at least), is taken for points of a curve seen on the photo, one curve fitted through them between the straights before and after it, with as many radii meeting with no transitions between them as keep it within 0.3 m of the points, up to eight, and taken where it keeps within 1 m; a row which doesn't is cut in parts, two bends alone joined into one curve along the line their curves laid. A curve traced is two curves turning the same way only with a straight between them as long as that and keeping much closer to the points than one compound curve; a fit running off to the largest radius gives two transition curves meeting. The transitions fitted turn no more than the curve; arcs and spirals are found many times quicker, the curve of a compound fit made straight away, a transition integrated in 64 steps at most. The fits wait on the thread of the laying in a queue of their own, the one asked for last fitted first 2026-10-24 22:09:27 +02:00
