fix(editor): a curve laid from a free end on a curve, or to one, goes on from its curvature: traced (Tab) from the end of the diverging track of a switch it begins right at P4 at the radius of the switch, not on a straight nor with a transition from a curvature of 0. The design of the line takes the curve of the adjoining track at each end (start_curved/end_curved with the radius, the side and the cant, kept with it in the scenery): the curve of the first vertex turning its way, or of the last one, begins right at the end, its transition going from that curvature and cant to those of its first arc, as between the arcs of a compound curve, none where it goes on at its radius; the radius of its arcs is the one which begins it there, solved for the tangent, the curves next to it making room on the straight. A curve traced next to such an end is fitted by its transitions alone, with none between the curves where the points keep to that as well, or laid from a straight there where it doesn't go on from it or that keeps to the points much closer: eased out of the curve of a plain track by the transition of the norms, the line beginning at its end, or right from P4, as a switch goes on with a straight. A bend of straights turning the way of the curve gets its curve going on from it with the transitions and the cant of the norms; the other way, or a straight, as before: eased out of the curve of a plain track, the jump of the curvature kept at a switch, as at its start, and not warned of. The cant of the adjoining track goes on into the curve with no ramp at that end; the norms ask for the transition between the curves only where the curvature differs by more than 5 % or the cant by 5 mm. The readout by the cursor, the status after laying and the plan tell the curve going on from the track, the plan with a box to go on or not. Dragged back to P4 from a point the curve goes on from its radius too. Selftests laywalk, laybends, curvejoint, endcurves; unit tests of a curve going on from a switch and into a free end, its cant, traced, through a transition into a larger radius, and of a bend of straights after such an end

fix(editor): the plan warns of the curved track adjoining a curve only where the curvature jumps there: a curve going on from the diverging track of a switch at its radius (R 300 after R 301 in wsd) no longer has it. The side the adjoining track turns to is taken with its radius into the chain and the design, and the curvature the design meets it with, signed by its turn, compared with it, within 5%; a design kept without the side is taken for turning its way. Unit test: R 300 from the very start after R 301 turning the same way gives no warning, turning the other way or starting with a straight does

feat(editor, track): a cant ramp of its own, off the transition curve: each end of a curve may have its ramp moved and of a length of its own (ST-T1-A6 9.6 pkt 5 and 11), on the straight before the curve or on the arc, the transition keeping the full cant all along, as a switch laid on it wants it; set in the plan under "Cant ramps", stored with the vertex as "ramps", reversed with the curve, marked across the track in the view. The cant of a line is a profile along it now, the paths cut where a ramp of its own starts and ends, their rolls following it, warnings where a ramp is shorter than its cant asks for or reaches into the curve before, past the line or over the other ramp. A switch on a cant ramp is drawn following it: its rails, blades, frogs and bed made at the mean of its rolls, as before, are turned along each path to the roll of the path there, so it no longer steps at its ends against the tracks either side. The checks of a switch laid into a curve warn of the values of table 11.9 in brackets as of the others, with no word of a consent. Unit test of a ramp moved onto the straight

feat(editor): a switch laid into a curve is checked by ST-T1-A6 as it's placed: the radii of its main and diverging tracks at its start and its end shown at it; warnings where the curvature of a track turns from one side to the other within it (KZW II, 9.7 pkt 12), where the diverging track is sharper or the main track bent more than table 11.9 allows the basic switch (the values allowed by way of exception named), where a switch of 1:9.403 or steeper is bent (11.4 pkt 4), where the cant changes within it (11.4 pkt 7), where a cant ramp starts or ends within it or under 6 m off it (9.6 pkt 16-17) and where the cant is over 100 mm (table 9.6); a note on a transition curve, which only an exception allows. The ends of the cant ramps are marked on the curve, and the start of the switch pressed within 3 m of where it starts or ends at an end of a ramp, or keeps the 6 m off it, is drawn there. The points clicked when a line is laid are kept with its design in the scenery ("click" lines, moved with it): the plan shows them in the colours of their departure and, while "Keep to the points clicked" is on, fits the radii of a curve whose transitions or cants are changed again to them, its transitions and cants as set; "Transitions for these cants" makes the transitions as long as the norms ask for at the radii and the cants set, an arc of a compound curve with no cant lengthening the ones either side of it. feat(editor): bends clicked close along a curve make one compound curve, not curves with short straights between them: a row of bends turning the same way, the straights between their curves shorter than as many metres as km/h of the speed (30 m at least), is taken for points of a curve seen on the photo, one curve fitted through them between the straights before and after it, with as many radii meeting with no transitions between them as keep it within 0.3 m of the points, up to eight, and taken where it keeps within 1 m; a row which doesn't is cut in parts, two bends alone joined into one curve along the line their curves laid. A curve traced is two curves turning the same way only with a straight between them as long as that and keeping much closer to the points than one compound curve; a fit running off to the largest radius gives two transition curves meeting. The transitions fitted turn no more than the curve; arcs and spirals are found many times quicker, the curve of a compound fit made straight away, a transition integrated in 64 steps at most. Fitting the grade line took 3 ms for 250 m of track, 30 ms for 1 km, 65 ms for 2 km and 200 ms for 4 km, and the preview of the lay tool and of the drag from a free end fitted it every frame, twice for the drag; on the terrain model the preview of some 800 m took 10 to 17 ms a frame, the cursor standing or not. feat(editor): the signals and the signs by a track go with it as the Plan lays it anew, square to the line, not along it
...
A curve laid anew, its radius changed or made compound, or a straight moved: the paths of the chain are cut again where their joints stood, set square onto the new line, each keeping its stretch of the ground, so their events, their track circuits and the cuts of the block sections stay where they were instead of being handed on along the line; the parts between the switches alike, the old even sharing kept where the joints don't follow one another along the new line.
The objects by a track taken for a change go with it by themselves: the signals and the warning discs it or its run reads, the SHP resonators by their events, and the controls of the block sections, the hectometre posts, the W17 markers and the other signs by the track nearest to them, within 12 m. They move square to the new axis keeping their offset and their turn, an object moved by hand meanwhile staying where it was put. Such a binding isn't kept in the scenery nor shown among the bound objects of the infra tool, which can still bind the object for good, and the undo and the redo take the objects back and forth with the tracks. The status of the Plan tells how many objects moved with the tracks. A path taking an object over the other way round keeps it on its side, turned as it was.

feat(editor): the whole-scenery grade fit keeps the tracks a station shares at one height, lets the switches lie on the vertical curves the regulation allows, runs straight through the double slips and leaves the bridges out of the faults
...
A switch may lie on a concave vertical curve, and on a convex one no sharper than 2000 m (Dz.U. 2026 poz. 1225 § 58 ust. 16): the fit bends over the switches and their shared timbers where the ground does, a curve on a switch is a warning, and only a sharper convex one an error. A sharp crest of a hump keeps its curve off the switch zones. The zone of a crossing reaches only as far as the path crossed has rails, so the middle of a double slip keeps to itself.
A line runs through a switch along its main path, and through the quarters of a double slip straight on, so the long lines go through the slips and the connections between them are fitted after. Rails of the lines fitted already nearer than a sleeper is long are taken at their height, as both lie on the same timbers. A short line between two lines whose end grades can't be joined within the norms keeps only the heights of its ends, and the grade breaks at the joints. The norms speed of a line is the one most of its length is laid for, so a few tracks set much faster don't stiffen the curves of all of it.
The fault finder leaves out the places over the terrain model on a bridge or a viaduct, the ground falling away under them by the abutments. A formation modifier may be open at its start or end.

feat(editor): laid to the norms, a track laid on from an end gets its transition curves, into the arc, between the arcs of a compound curve and out to the straight
...
A track laid on from a free end in the PKP PLK laying, by a drag out of the end, by clicks from it or laid back onto it, starts from the curvature and the cant the end has. An arc turning the same way as the end is a compound curve: a transition of the norms ramps the curvature and the cant from the one arc into the other. From a straight the arc gets its entry transition, the arc then straight its exit one. Where the way is too short the transitions are cut and the cant lowered to what they ramp, and the readout says so; with no room at all the track is laid as before and the note says why. The curves traced on the orthophoto and the recommended values of a compound curve get the transitions between their arcs too. The free laying stays as it was.

feat(editor): the tracks are laid to the PKP PLK norms unless the free laying is chosen, asked as the laying starts
...
The free laying isn't the default any more. The first time a session opens the laying or the plan, a window asks how the
new tracks are laid, with the two cards of the panels (the norms marked as chosen); a click on one of them takes it and
closes the window, which comes before the offer of the terrain model of a new scenery. "Remember the choice, don't ask
again" keeps it in eu07_editor.ini (track_norms ask, free or plk), and a choice kept follows a later click on the cards of
the panels; the settings of the editor (General) choose between asking and either way. The self-test scripts start with the
free laying, as they were written for it.

fix(editor): a point taken out of a grade line leaves its neighbours with the radius of the limits, and paths meeting at a sharp break keep their own grades
...
The points of a grade line read from the tracks keep the radius measured there; once a point between them was taken out, the
breaks of its neighbours changed while their radii stayed, so a break without a curve read as 0.4 per mille became one of
9 per mille with no curve, and the tracks took it as a kink. The neighbours of the point taken out follow the limits now,
with the button, Del and the self-test alike (profile_remove_point).
Applying a line with a break without a curve gave the path which ends at the break the grade of the element after it, so
its Hermite heights bowed 0.12 m off the line over 100 m before the break; each path takes the grade on its own side now.
Self-test commands vprofilerun, vprofiledel and vprofileput.
